Wilson Sucaticona is a visionary craft-driven small farmer of Aymara descent. He inherited his small 7.5 acre farm, named Alto Lagunillas, and took it, in just a few years, to great renown in Peru after receiving top awards from national and international competitions. We have never tasted a coffee with the flavors of his coffee!
Alto Lagunillas won the Best of Origin for Peru at the Specialty Coffee Association of America’s 2010 Roasters Guild Coffees of the Year Competition. Wilson has also won first prize in the Peruvian National Coffee Contest twice.
Wilson learned a tradition of coffee farming from his parents and has been farming coffee for 23 years.
